What is Top501 all about?

• Top501 is a category-based social media hub (or directory if you prefer)
• Top501 is free to use, we only charge for people to add their social media accounts. You don’t have to join, just use us to browse or search for whatever you’re interested in. As social content changes all the time, you will always find something new to read or look at.
• Anyone can join our site. Top501 doesn’t use algorithms. We don’t sort our data by numbers of likes or followers. We don’t care if you have 5 friends or 5 million friends – we will treat everyone the same way. We aim to level the playing field as much as possible and allow anyone that wants to join to do so. You don’t have to be rich or famous to join our family.
• Top501 is split into 60 categories and more than 3000 sub-categories (and counting!) Come and have a browse through social media such as blogs, vlogs, galleries and more. As all of our content is submitted by people with the same interests as you, you know you will find something great from like-minded people.
• There are up to 501 different people’s social media to look through for each sub category. Each of these can have up to 9 different social media accounts attached to them. That means you could have up to 4509 social media accounts for each area that you’re interested in – enough to keep even the keenest web surfer happy.
• Would you like to join, purchase a square and add your social media for others to find, like and follow? It will cost you a one-off payment of £2.50. This will buy you your square for a year. We will then publish your own Top501 page. Along with the links to up to 9 of your social media accounts, blogs, vlogs and galleries your page will also have a short biography which you can use to describe your interests. Your square will have hover-over text to encourage people to browse to your page.
• You will need to have open social media accounts that anyone can access. We don’t ask you for any login details – we simply provide links to your accounts from your own page. You can also use this as a great place to access all your own social media from one place!

Who can join?

Anyone over the age of 18 with a social media presence. You don’t have to have 5 million or even 5 followers. Top501 is here for anyone to join and become part of our unique family. We only ask that the social media content is in English and the sites that you link to are the English Language versions of that social media site.
